Stewart Fortune, BBA, PFA, RISFinancial Advisor
Stewart joined the Fortune Team upon graduating from Acadia University. Stewart holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Co-op) degree with a focus on finance. He has achieved PFA (Professional Financial Advisor) designation. As a commitment to continuing education and providing top-quality service, he is currently in the process of attaining his CFP (Certified Financial Planner®) designation.
His mission is to help others define and find clarity in their financial goals, and then build a personalized plan to achieve them. He believes that financial planning is more than numbers and that a true financial plan not only provides a return on investment but a return on life. This entails having a full understanding of the client’s values, opportunities, concerns, and more.
Most recently, Stewart was in the first group of Advisors in Canada to earn his PFA (Professional Financial Advisor) designation, a new designation offered by The Institute for Advanced Financial Education.
In 2019, Stewart earned his Responsible Investment Specialist designation (certified by the Responsible Investment Association of Canada). By incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into the investment decision-making process, he is well equipped to build a portfolio designed to reach client's financial goals while ensuring companies are held to ethical standards that match their personal beliefs.
Stewart is also a proud member of Advocis - The Financial Advisors Association of Canada. Advocis is the largest voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors in Canada. The group aims to enhance the professionalism of advisors in the best interest of the consumer.
During his off time, Stewart enjoys long-distance running, golfing, hiking, playing hockey, and spending time with friends and family.
